Forestry Training Course Goal

This course is intended to provide awareness and develop competency in the area of Harvest Equipment Simulator Operation. It is designed to provide information about the fundamentals of Harvest Equipment Simulator Training practices.

Course Objectives

The use of logging equipment simulators is an important step toward training operators in a more efficient, safer and less expensive manner. Simulators can reinforce repetitive motions to ingrain correct working procedures assuring the quality of their work while achieving production goals. With the use of state of the art technology, students can learn all the fundamental techniques necessary to operate harvest processors and feller bunchers. Simulators can be used as a screening tool, to orient new operators, to detect inefficiencies and to improve an operator’s overall production and efficiency.
